After years in development, the latest model in the famed New Balance 990 franchise has finally arrived! With the 990v6, New Balance has refocused the model back onto performance-orientated goals. By no means are we saying that it's lost the everyday utility which made this shoe so popular, but it's definitely a bit?more sprightly than previous generations.
Packed with plenty of tech, this new 990 is not just an incremental change.?For the first time a 990 features NB's flagship FuelCell?for maximum energy return. This cutting-edge foam is paired with tried-and-true ENCAP for a supportive, springy feel under foot.
Visually, the?uppers are laden with plenty of cues from the 990's 40-year history, with the lush suede and nubuck still present atop the breezy mesh. It wouldn't be a 990 if it wasn't grey, brimming with tech and made in the USA. The 990v6 has all of that and more. Don't believe it? Head over to our Journal and read 800 words on why this is probably the most important 990 in over 20 years...
